A warm welcome from our home to yours!

Meet the Winsome Wheatens family and the people behind the name!

We are the Bradford family and we currently reside in the beautiful state of Missouri. There are six children (ages 20 to 5) which make eight of us all together. Craig & Joella Bradford first met a soft coated Wheaten terrier 18 years ago and it was love at first sight. With an amazing turn of events, we were able to adopt that very Wheaten, who was 6 months old. She became “Snickers” to us and was the matriarch and joy of our home for almost 16 years! From one of her first litters, we kept Liberty who is now 13 years old and living life to the fullest.

These two gals changed our lives and made us determine to number 1, never be without a Wheaten in our home! And number 2. to share these darling and wonderful dogs with others! This is what we have done for the last 15 years and we have never regretted it!

In the last five years or so, we began to add whoodles into the mix and have been delighted to bring this unique twist on the Wheaten terrier breed to many hearts and homes!

The Winsome Wheatens family endeavors to do our very best to share happy and healthy (not to mention adorable!) puppies from our hearts and homes to yours! We are proud of our legacy and our dogs and we always love to hear from those of you with a Winsome baby!

Meet the person behind our website and Facebook page and the PR of our little business! My name is Susanna and I am 21 years old. I am the oldest child in the Bradford family and I love spending time with my 5 siblings and our pooches and pups! At the age of 14, I began doing the advertising for our puppies and started learning to do website editing and design. Beginning with our own website, I have now built a handful of other sites for friends as well. I took over correspondence, puppy photography and all the little wonderful details that accompany the selling part of our business. I learned to LOVE talking with people, bringing happiness to customers by sending pictures of their darling puppy and doing the mounds of paperwork that accumulate.

I am very grateful to have picked up skills and gained a job that allows me to work from home and most of all involves the dogs I love so dearly.

A few random fun facts about me :
Favorite season: Fall
Favorite dog : my Whoodle, Chloe
Favorite hobby: sewing, long conversations, playing with puppies
Other activities : I am a pianist, violinist and concert harpist. I plan to open a piano studio in the near future and have been giving piano lessons since I was 17.

I have learned so much in the last 6 years of working for Winsome Wheatens and I’m very grateful to my customers for choosing us, for allowing me to help you find the perfect pet and for helping me continue to do the work I love so much. We do it for you!
